Health insurance costs go up every year. People pay ever-increasing amounts out of pocket for their healthcare, yet receive less and less for their money. Health insurance requirements for medical practices increase each year while reimbursements decrease. Offices need to see more patients every day in order to stay open. More patients per physician means less time to focus on each patient’s individual needs.
By eliminating insurance in our practice, we can offer better access to your doctor with unlimited visits and longer appointments times. It also gives us the ability to focus all of our time and effort on you. Direct primary care gives you more value for your health care dollar.
Do I need insurance?
While you do not need health insurance to belong to Wichita DPC, we still recommend having health insurance to cover unexpected or catastrophic events – car accidents, hospitalizations, surgeries, chemotherapy. We encourage you to check with your employer or insurance agent to discuss your insurance options. Ask us for a referral to an agent familiar with direct primary care practices.
What if I already have good insurance?
That is great! Many people still sign up for direct primary care to give them quick and easy access to their doctor through text and email, longer appointment times, and access to discounted prescription medications, labs, and radiology. Direct primary care allows you to experience high quality care in a relaxed, non-rushed environment.
